This museum, which was founded as a museum for antiques in Bonn already in 1820 and which was redesigned to become a subject-related museum during a construction period of five years, displays art from the region from many epochs.

The Rheinisches LandesMuseum, which was founded in 1820, presents the most different testimonies of Rhenish history, art and culture, from the very beginning of the Stone Age up until today. After its reopening as a subject-related museum the museum now displays nine centers of gravity. The subject "epochs" is meant to be the introduction, as it leads the visitor through the essential epochs of human cultural history on a tour through the times.

Workshops for Children
The "Förderkreis Jugend im Museum e.V." (promotion society for the young in museums) offers many different workshops for children and young people under the motto "Holidays at the Museum." Your children will experience an exciting expedition through the various epochs of history or can develop their creativity or their handicraft skills on the occasion of an afternoon for children.
