The world-famous composer, Chancellor Adenauer, concerts and churches – these are just a few subjects from the region of Bonn, around which you can put together interesting programmes. Please find hereafter a few proposals:
Every year from June until October, the “Museumsplatz” - the place between the two big museums “Kunst- u. Ausstellungshalle” and “Kunstmuseum” – is transformed into an open-air stage. This extraordinary scenery with its 3000 seats and/or a standing room for 8000 people offers top events and concerts from pop, rock up to classical music or movie nights. Just ask for the actual programme.
When Konrad Adenauer proposed Bonn to become the capital in 1949, he exactly knew why. Experience the flair of politics at the beginning of the Federal Republic of Germany and get to know the private surrounding field of “The Old Guy”.
- Lecture or film about selected political subjects in a documentation
- Visit of Adenauer’s residence in Rhöndorf (Bad Honnef)
- Lunch in a historical restaurant
- Visit of a winery with its rustic cellars, where already Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer had a glass of wine, including a tasting and information on wine-growing in the Siebengebirge .
Take a ride through the wild and romantic Brohl Valley from Brohl to Engeln with the historical narrow-gauge railway called “Vulkanexpress”.

- a guide will make you familiar with the volcanic origin of this region at the geological training path
- a highlight will be a visit to the Laacher See (Lake Laach) with the Benedictine order Maria Laach, which is known for its church, an extraordinary example of Roman architecture in Europe
World-famous interpreters, as well as young and very talented musicians are the guests of the International Beethoven Festival Bonn. It is the manifoldness of the locations characterizing this festival, which ranges from historical to modern halls, from the venerable St. Remigius Church to the concert at the “Altes Wasserwerk” (Old Waterworks), from the Beethoven-Haus and the Beethovenhalle to the Castle Augustusburg in Brühl.
