
The visitor’s mine Grube Silberhardt in Windeck-Öttershagen reminds of the long tradition of mining silver and ore. | |

Besucherbergwerk und Bergbauwanderweg Grube Silberhardt (visitor’s mine and miner’s hiking trail Grube Silberhardt) Opening hours: Guided tours for groups with a minimum of 10 people are possible throughout the whole year next to the opening hours mentioned above for a fee of 10.00 Euro (mine) or 15.00 Euro (mine and hiking trail). The guided tour through the mine, which lasts about 45 minutes, displays the former mining methods and the hard working conditions the miners had to suffer from while mining silver and ore. Right parallel to the mine there is the miner’s hiking trail with a length of approximately 1.7 kilometres and a total of 14 stations. Next to further former mines also smelting technologies are shown here with the help of reconstructed exhibits. The whole programme at the Grube Silberhardt will last approximately 1 – 3 hours, depending on the number of people. Directions: |
