Siegburg is the district town and the heart of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis. The pleasant city with its approximately 40,000 inhabitants has a great tradition and excellent perspectives. Vivid signs of more than 900 years of history are the historical market place, the church Sankt Servatius as well as the Benedictine abbey at the Michaelsberg.
Siegburg is known as an important pottery city far beyond the borders of the Rhineland. Today, above all numerous service and commercial enterprises determine the economic life of the city.
