The weather might be good or bad - the Freizeitpark Rheinaue is always a great leisure park. Children can discover the various playgrounds, go skateboarding or inline-skating or rent boats. There is a popular house for children offering possibilities to play and to do handicraft. And after having so much fun it is just wonderful to get yourself something to eat at one of the barbecue places. Don’t forget to think of supplies!

The Botanic Garden is closed on Saturdays.

Most people know the coconut from the supermarket, but it is much more impressive looking up along the long stem of a real coconut palm and discovering such a fruit at its end. The Botanic Garden of the University of Bonn offers this possibility. More than 8,000 different plants from all parts of the world can be admired here, many of which you probably never saw before. Who does have a coffee shrub or a lemon tree in his garden ? Who knows giant pond lilies, which are so big that you can put babies on top of their leaves, of course, without letting them go down!?

It is not only the Botanic Garden which is worth visiting, but also the splendid building to which it belongs. The Poppelsdorfer Schloss (Poppelsdorfer Castle) is from the 18^th century.

„Schumi“ (Michael Schumacher) and his colleagues regularly do their rounds here at the Nürburgring. The world-famous race track
thrills the hearts of all motor sports fans. Whoever wants to try it himself will find an occasion to do so at the Kart-Motodrom. If it doesn’t work right away, you can do a traffic training first here. You can also take part in an exclusive Kart-Grand-Prix with a presentation ceremony afterwards here at the Nürburgring.
In addition, you will find a special leisure park here – the “Erlebniswelt Nürburgring”, part of which is a motor sports museum, where you can find all important information on the race track itself.
