Every year on the first Sunday in July, it's a car-free day in Siegtal. A route of about 120 kilometres is blocked to all traffic in Siegtal. This means a lot of fun for cyclists, skaters but also hikers. Other attractions such as open shops, music and cultural events as well as street festivals provide even more fun and entertainment. There is plenty of food on the menu as well. This ranges from small snacks to culinary specialities – there is something for every taste on car-free days. Anyone who still has some energy left, can celebrate until late into the night at the after-bike party together with other Siegtal tourers.
The Siegtal Festival takes place annually in the summer in Siegburg, Hennef, Eitorf and Windeck. A programme worth seeing and hearing is on offer including classical music, jazz, rock, theatre, cabaret and art as well as entertainment for children – with 27 individual programme items, there is bound to be something to suit every taste.
