Heute zählt die Region zu den attraktivsten Wachstumsregionen in Deutschland mit den Schwerpunkten Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft, Kon- gresswesen und Kultur. Durch zahlreiche neue Einrichtungen, Neugründungen und Ansiedlungen wurden hier nach dem Regierungsumzug mehr als 25.000 zusätzliche Arbeitsplätze geschaffen. Insgesamt verzeichnet die Region seitdem einen Bevölkerungszuwachs von rund 110.000 Men- schen – das sind rund 12%. Bis 2040 soll die Zahl der Einwohner die Millionen-Grenze erreichen. Seit dem Regierungsumzug hat allein die Zahl der IHK-zugehörigen Unternehmen um fast 50% zugenommen. Vor allem Dienstleistungen sowie IT sind hier stark repräsentiert, aber auch Handel, verarbeitendes Gewerbe und Logistik. Lage, Lage, Lage Lage, Lage, Lage – so lautet ein Mantra in der Immobilienbranche. Es sind die drei wichtigsten Faktoren, auf die es bei der Immobiliensuche und -bewertung ankommt. Auch für einen Wirt- schaftsstandort ist die Lage entscheidend. Und in dieser Hinsicht ist klar: Bonn ist zwar nicht mehr Hauptstadt – an der unvergleichlichen Lage von Stadt und umgebendem Landkreis hat der Wegzug von Parlament und Regierung aber nichts geändert. Die bevorzugte geografische Position im Kern- gebiet Europas mit einer exzellenten Verkehrs- anbindung an das europäische Autobahnnetz, an die nahe gelegenen Flughäfen Köln/Bonn, Düsseldorf und Frankfurt/Main, an das ICE-Netz der Deutschen Bahn AG mit dem Fernbahnhof in der Kreisstadt Siegburg sowie an die inter- nationalen Seehäfen Zeebrügge, Antwerpen, Rotterdam und Amsterdam ermöglichen den Unternehmen schnelle Anschlüsse an Kunden, Lieferanten und Märkte – in Deutschland, Europa und der ganzen Welt. Today, the region is one of the most attractive booming regions in Germany with a focus on business, science, congresses and culture. More than 25,000 additional jobs were created here after the government moved, thanks to numerous new facilities, start-ups and settlements. Since then, the region has recorded a total increase in population of around 110,000 people – that is around 12%. By 2040 the number of inhabitants is expected to reach the million mark. Since the government relocation, the number of IHK-affiliated companies alone has increased by almost 50%. Services and IT in par- ticular are strongly represented here, but also trade, manufacturing and logistics. Location, Location, Location Location, Location, Location – this is a mantra in the real estate industry. These are the three most important factors that are important when evalua- ting real estate. Location is also decisive for a busi- ness location. And in this respect it is clear: Bonn may no longer be the capital – but the departure of parliament and government has not changed the incomparable location of the city and surrounding district. The preferred geographical position in the heart of Europe with excellent transport links to the European motorway network, to the nearby airports of Cologne/ Bonn, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt/Main, to the ICE network of Deutsche Bahn AG with the long-distance train station in the district town of Siegburg and to the international seaports of Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam enable the companies to make fast connections to customers, suppliers and markets – in Germany, Europe and the whole world.
