Rhineland Nature Park

The Rhineland Nature Park is directly on the doorstep of the cities of Cologne and Bonn.

A unique agricultural diversity covers more than 1,000 square kilometres. Woods, rivers, lakes and hilly volcanoes alternate with flat agricultural fields and small idyllic villages.

Here as well as high-quality places of interest, such as the Baroque castles of Augustusburg and Falkenlust that have become world cultural heritage sites, there is also a wide range of sports and leisure activities available. The Rhineland Nature Park will offer all its visitors the best conditions, whether they are cyclists, hikers, joggers, skaters or water-sports enthusiasts!

The permanent exhibition entitled Nature Park Experience Trail in the Himmeroder Hof Nature Park Centre offers a unique insight into the history and culture of the landscape in the Rhineland Nature Park with its modern, interactive presentation.
