The Marathon Bonn is one of the ten biggest running events in Germany. On the route the participants run around the city of Bonn, along the Rhine bank and pass by quite a few interesting sights. The course is a challenge for marathon runners, half-marathon-runners, walkers, inline skaters and hand cyclists. An easier and fun way to take part in the event is the marathon relay - especially popular among companies who take it as a team-event. The

Rheinbach Classics are held in Rheinbach, which bring the colourful 1950s back to life with vintage cars, petticoats and rock music.

7 Mountains Music Night
A long night of partying between Petersberg and Löwenburg: 20 live acts play in 16 participating locations in Bad Honnef, Koenigswinter and 3 shuttle busses from 8 to 12 pm. Afterwards there is an after-show party in the Maritim-Bar in Koenigswinter.
The Bonn Jazz festival rounds off the musical repertoire provided by Beethoven's city in style for fans of modern music genres. Every year the Festival tries to cover lots of facets of modern jazz and above also present the next generation of artists together with established stars in double concerts, as well as pieces the musicians have written themselves and standard works with contemporary interpretations. When selecting the locations, the event-organisers place particular emphasis on architecturally and acoustically challenging concert venues.
With special concert formats in unusual venues RHEINHOCH7 will enrich the region musically. On Classical and jazz music will be the focus. In combination with program elements from the fields of sports, politics, or culinary literature RHEINHOCH7 creates extraordinary concert experiences. The high artistic quality is the unifying element between all events.

One weekend in June the skies of Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district will again be the stage for numerous hot-air balloons. Balloon teams from Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands will participate in this balloon festival in Bonn Rheinaue. The visitors can watch the construction of giant balloons and have the opportunity to take a ride in a hot air balloon. In addition, there will be other attractions and an interesting and varied program for the whole family.
The Bonn-Triathlon is something special. All participants start together from a car ferry at the level of the Kameha Grand Hotel. From there, 3,8 kilometers on the Rhine have to be passed. The swimming part is followed by 60 km cycling through the Siebengebirge. The whole thing is rounded off by the 15 km run on the Rhine promenade. The finish line is located in the Bonn suburb Beuel on the lawns in front of the Kennedy Bridge.
Since 1995 about 80 beer wholesalers serve more than 700 beer types from all over the world can be found at Bonn Beer Festival. Experience a real beer garden atmosphere in the shade of the trees in Bonn Rheinaue Park. Entertainment on stage is also provided.
Panama Open Air Festival
This event started in 2011 as a very small festival next to the hariboschiff and is now, 5 years later, a two days lasting festival with many stages and a huge choice of different bands. The focus is kept on joyful, shared emotions.
Green Juice Festival
Every year since 2008 the public park in Bonn's suburb
Neu-Vilich hosts this rockmusic festival. Entrance fees are low and any kind of bands - ranking from newcomers to established bands - can be met. During eleven hours – from 12:00 pm to 23:00 pm – they offer a varied program on two stages.
Big flea market in the Rheinaue
This is held on seven dates during the year (every third Saturday in the month from April until October). Since 2012 the traders have had to reserve their places the week before the market and they are then allocated a stall. However, there are also plenty of places for dealers who have left the decision to the last minute. The area for selecting stalls covers 1,600 metres.

Twice a year a large number of colourful fabric and accessories provide a creative atmosphere in Bad Godesberg.

The flea market on and around the meadow called Rigal´sche Wiese is a particularly enjoyable experience for the whole family. It is not necessary to register beforehand. The stalls are allocated as of 7 am.
