Willy-Brandt-Forum
Experience contemporary history
In 1979 Willy Brandt moved to Unkel and lived in the small town on the Rhine as a citizen amongst his fellow citizens. He wrote his memoirs here and looked back over his eventful life. It was from here that he continued his involvement as an elder statesman in achieving his political ideals. Willy Brandt died on 8 October 1992 in Unkel.
The modern design and technical features of the exhibition give an unforgettable impression of the political effect of Brandt the politician and make the visit to this museum an experience in contemporary history.
