An vielen authentischen Orten in der Region
Bonn ist die Geschichte der Bonner Republik für
Gäste und Tagungsteilnehmer erlebbar, so zum
Beispiel in der Dauerausstellung im Haus der
Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, in
der Villa Hammerschmidt oder im Kanzlerbunga-
low. Der ehemalige Plenarsaal des Deutschen
Bundestages gilt als eines der schönsten Parla-
mentsgebäude der Welt und gehört heute zum
World Conference Center Bonn. In der Region
können das Gästehaus Petersberg, Adenauers
Wohnhaus oder Willy Brandts Arbeitszimmer
besucht werden und Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
hat Teile des ehemaligen Regierungsbunkers für
interessierte Besucher geöffnet.
The history of the Bonn Republic can be experi-
enced at many authentic locations in the Bonn
region by visitors and conference participants, for
example in the permanent exhibition at the Haus
der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland,
at the Villa Hammerschmidt or the Chancellor’s
bungalow. The former plenary chamber of the
German Federal Parliament is regarded as one
of the most beautiful parliament buildings in the
world and now belongs to the World Conference
Center Bonn. In the region it is possible to visit the
Petersberg Guesthouse, Adenauer’s residence or
Willy Brandt’s office and Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler
has opened parts of the former government
bunker for interested visitors.
