Als Tor zum Romantischen Rhein gilt die Region
Bonn mit dem Siebengebirge und dem sagen-
umwobenen Drachenfels. Mit der Drachen-
felsbahn geht die Fahrt auf das neugestaltete
Plateau des Berges. Auf halber Höhe thront
Schloss Drachenburg, das prachtvoll restauriert
wurde.
Rad- und Wanderfreunde finden im benach-
barten Siegtal mit seiner unberührt wirkenden
Natur, in der linksrheinisch gelegenen Voreifel,
im Natur- und Erholungsraum Bergischer Rhein-
Sieg-Kreis sowie im Rotweinanbaugebiet Ahrtal
viele Freizeitangebote.
The Bonn region with the Siebengebirge and the
Drachenfels shrouded in legend is considered to be
the gateway to the Romantic Rhine valley. The Dra-
chenfelsbahn railway travels up to the newly built
plateau on the mountain. Halfway up the mountain,
the beautifully restored Schloss Drachenburg
majestically overlooks the Rhine valley.
Cyclist and hikers will find a range of leisure acti-
vities in the neighbouring Siegtal with its natural
scenery that appears completely untouched, the
Voreifel situated on the left bank of the Rhine,
recreation area Bergischer Rhein-Sieg-Kreis as
well as in the red wine-growing area of the Ahr
valley.
